Can I shoot tracer ammo at a gun range? (outdoor)?

I am going to be visiting a huge gun store and noticed that they have tracer ammo for sale and I'm really tempted to buy some ammo because its (*cheap). I could prob sell some at a local gun show and make money its that cheap. .22 50rds for $15? Also 50rd of 9mm for $25 which is really expensive for someone who is poor like me but please tell me that I shoudl be able to shoot these at my local outdoor gun range that has no rules against tracer ammo and that uses dirt mounds as backstops.
