Did Jesus deliberately avoid the issue of s for PR reasons, mitigating it to Paul instead?

Jesus managed to dodge it so well, Paul had to work extra hard on bigotry and misogyny after his death. Was that deliberate to retain from tarnishing Jesus's reputation with all this negativity?
