I have just reinstalled XP SP2 and the VGA controller is not configured properly (code 1). What do I do?

I downloaded the driver from ECS and I am getting an error 'the setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with my hardware'. The screen is move strangely, when I try to move a window it seems as though there is a rippling effect and it is moving slowly.
