Airplane question about Cigarettes lol.....?

Im traveling back to the states and i want to know if its alright if i buy a box of cigarettes from the country im in now because its way cheaper then it is in the states the box contains like 20 cig packs anyways would they allow me to bring it in the country or would they throw it out?The box will be closed and untouched.
